Benign
Non-life threatening and non-cancerous. Unable to spread and affect other parts of the body.
Biopsy
Removal of a specimen of a specific tissue or organ. It is then examined for irregularities.
Biphasic
Having two distinct stages or phases.
Brachytherapy
Procedure of implanting radioactive material sealed in needles, seeds, or catheters is placed directly into a cancerous region of the body.
Bronchi
Airways within the body that lead from the trachea to the lung. The bronchi continue to subdivide into smaller branches and connect to bronchioles.
Bronchoscopy
Procedure which allows one to examine the inside of the trachea area into the bronchi. This is often used to detect the presence of cancers like mesothelioma.
